Practice ForumA central objective of occupational health psychology is to make a difference to workers' lives through application of the principles of applied psychology and scientific research evidence. To this end, education and research in OHP must be translated into workplace interventions if occupational health psychologists are to practice what they preach. The Practice Forum of the EA-OHP provides an arena for discussion and sharing of best practice. Historically, the Academy's annual conference has demonstrated itself to be the optimum time and place for such debate. With the advent of internet technology, the Academy is keen to encourage a momentum of debate that emanates from each conference and continues throughout the year amongst member practitioners. In the coming months, all EA-OHP members will be allocated a password to enable entry to closed discussion boards for each of the Academy's three fora. The forum pages will also provide links to relevant web-based material. Please visit these pages regularly in the coming months to take advantage of the benefits being offered. OHP Practice LinksDecember 2003When a Plan Comes Together, co-authored by EA-OHP member Dr Sayeed Khan. "Tired of theories and discussion on how best to engage employees in the management of occupational health and safety? In need of something more tangible? Neil Budworth and Dr Sayeed Khan believe they have a tool which could make a real difference on a practical scale" |
